Protect ALL files in DropBox (password/encrypt the folders/files)
The backup file is somewhat encrypted, but the rest is just all open and out. Unprotected zip, all images are easily viewable. Not an secure idea for a personal diary...

End-to-end encryption is my strong preference too, despite the fact that it brings with it the risk that I would loose all of my entries if I lost my private key. I am still happy to use Diaro without the encryption but would feel more secure myself with it and I would expect that more people would use Diaro if end-to-end encryption was available. Encryption also offers some value to Diaro themselves because they no longer have to take responsibility for security (privacy) of their customers' data.

I second this request. I am considering using Diaro, but I don't want to use it if things aren't encrypted *every* time they are in the cloud.
