Default to 'today' for new entries.
When I click the 'Today' button in the 'Date' section, Diaro shows the current date in the calendar, but the last selected date is still selected, so if I imediately press '+' the new entry goes to the last selected date rather than 'today'.
I suggest that if the 'Today' button is used, the focus should shift to 'today' so that a new entry will be put into the current date. I also suggest that the 'Today' button be made larger and displayed permanently alongside the '+' button so that you don't have to navigate through the 'Date' section to…1 vote -

Improved Search Options
It would be great if we could search through our archive based on more than words. For example, whether or not they have images attached, and a world map with pins marking all the locations I have tagged.

Offline mode for Mac version
I am often in situations where I do not have the ability to connect to the internet. So it will be very useful to be able to have an offline mode on your mac and android application and then synchronize the data retrospectively.

Font and layout
I think adding the option to set font in underline, italic and bold would be a great addition to the app! Maybe also the ability to set your own layout of the text; at this moment we can add photos and change background colors etc (given its folder-placement), but maybe place the photo's into the text where ever one find pleasing?

Export - Calender overview

Photo Backgrounds-Customization
I would like to suggest that it will be good when the photos inserted are the events background and will also be good if they can be viewed as a week..! The outer UI was awesome..! But the main content doesn't look very catchy..! I love this app..! Kindly improve the design

I'm a Hebrew speaker. Please add right-to-left support.
While I can insert text by using the right-to-left shortcut on my keyboard, the saved entry is saved as left-to-right. Please add right-to-left saving. And while you're at it, make sure that if I have a hybrid entry (i.e. Hebrew with an English word in the middle), the text still stays readable as opposed to now.....

Word Cloud
It would be nice to have a word cloud feature that allows you to see your most used words and phrases over the time. This can hint you about the aspects of your life that are most present in your mind at different points of your life.
Red Notebook uses this feature and it was one of the things I liked the most about it.3 votes -

Send random old entry
Hi, I have used OhLife.com extensively over the last 1.5 years, but it's closing down so I must find another site to continue writing. The one killer feature of OhLife was how it sent a diary entry from last week, last month, last year, or a random one if there was no such match to be made. Every day I received such a little blast from the past, which was awesome to read and motivating to keep up writing, as I was recording funny quotes I'd heard that day that cheered me up again, and to see how thoughts I'd…

Hyperlinks for calendar dates
It will be nice if you can give provision to hyperlink calendar dates as the desktop diary application iDailydiary does. We can hyperlink events across Diaroapp.
Suppose I give my mobile for servicing today and is due on October 2, I can link October 2 on today's entry. Clicking on it will take me to October 2.

Multiple Places
It would be great if you could add multiple places to one entry. I know it would be possible to split the entry into multiple location-based entries, but often it's a story about a walk/voyage/tour with different waypoints and things happening on the way. Or there is an information in an entry belonging to another place which isn't worth creating a new entry.
In these cases adding multiple places makes the entries easier to create and clearer as you don't have to switch entries for one idea or have to leave off a place.
