Design
Hello! I love your service, and I would like to suggest you to add text formating and ability to make diary entries as timeline, fully opened. It would be great to see all photos and text without opening each entry.

Adding photos...
I would love to be able to add photos anywhere within the individual entries that I wish. For example, to put a family picture immediately following a paragraph or story about my family, but before other parts of that day's entry.

Multi Cloud Support
Please support more than dropbox as a backup location.
- Dropbox
- Google Drive
- Microsoft SkyDrive
- Box or private memory locations
- OwnCloud
- SugarSync
- WebDAV

Making Journal Entries via dedicated diaro email address
Quoting someone's post on the Knowledge Base -
It's a reality that people like to create content by sending an email. This is why Wordpress, Evernote and a host of other services have put this feature in place. Each account is associated with a unique (resettable) email address. Text and photos can be added via email.
Is Diaro going to do this??? Please, please, please say yes. I love my Diaro, but I can see the benefit of this. Even forwarding important emails that you want to document and search later.

A PC app
A PC app to systematically upload and download data to windows users, that will then synchronize between devices. Web based Diaro rely on heavy bandwidth use. Specially upload.
-The same picture gets synced over and over every bootup of the app.
-To automatically add a snapshot of the calls taken and sms's sent (call log) each day at a specific time.
_google calendar sync was a great idea. add a google task integration too.
-Needs lots of work with the sync. Maybe a differential upload and download thing with sync schedules, once a day twice a day, twice a week…62 votes -
Sub-folders
I would like to see (customized) sub-folders added to the main folders section. IE: Entertainment would have the sub-folders of Music, Movies and T.V. or Vacations would have the sub-folders of Europe, Japan, Ship Cruises, and Theme Parks.

#hashtags and @mentions
Simplify (and power up) tag management by allowing to enter #hashtags in front of any word (like workflowy and fetchnotes) to turn it into a tag; use of @MentionSomeone would be nice too, so we could easily filter events by people; inline tags (inside text) would be great; but separate tags (as it is now) is fine also (simplenote uses this approach also);

Apple Mac Version
Hi
It would be great if there was a version of Diaro I could use on my macbook without having to use the internet.I currently use DayOne for my journal, but it doesn't sync well with my android phone. I can't use Diaro on my macbook because I cant find a version that installs. So I keep using DayOne for now.

I know a similar idea was declined but I really use adding photos, and some times a record videos I want to keep in mi diary.

Allow for another storage service besides Dropbox
I don't trust Dropbox and they have proven themselves unreliable in my recent experience with them. I know you declined a similar suggestion to offer other cloud storage options (one drive, google drive, carbonite... plenty of options), but I'd like you to reconsider. Just letting you know that since you require dropbox, I'll likely begin looking for other diary app, but only because you require us to use dropbox. It's disappointing because I like your app a lot.

Attach files
would be nice to be able to attach files to entries than just photos.

Bold, Italic, underline, using shortcuts
I don't see a way to format text in these simple ways, even though I see a Completed label. If it's completed, how do I format text this way. Thank you.

Bigger Picture / Photo Centric experience
It's a cliche that a picture tells a thousand word. But, I really like to have the freedom to show a larger than current size picture first in my entry then only followed by my writing, it recalls memory and gives better impact when I re-read my diary.
As opposing to now, all writings and then a little thumbnail of picture at bottom(when I click into reading one particular entry that is).
